My current work is about the devastation of war, using fabric from used camouflage
uniforms, and camouflage patterns. In some works, I am experimenting with
intentionally rough craftsmanship and forms as a way of depicting the insanity and
absurdity of war. This is contrasted with other works of careful obsessive sewing that
are about the fragility and beauty of the human body. In this body of work, I am trying to
balance the cruelty of war with my empathy for the soldier.
